JUST KEEP WALKING
FRIDAY, APRIL 25
The Walkathon is the Home and School Club’s largest spring fundraiser and consists of a day full of walking for the students followed by an after school carnival for the larger Farnham community. In order to make this event a success we need people to help plan. Our next committee meeting is April 16, 2025 virtually.
Walkathon FAQs
-
The Walkathon is the largest Farnham HSC fundraiser of the year. Our students, teachers, and staff walk hundreds of combined miles around campus during the morning. In the evening, the school grounds are converted to a community gathering. More details to come. This is an all day event that our community looks forward to ever year! For more information see our event guide.

Each student will receive a sponsorship envelope from school in March. They can ask for pledges and collect cash/checks in the envelope. Donations can also be made online.
-
It varies greatly. Students can set their own goals and will often surprise themselves with how many MILES they walk. Each lap is about 1/4 mile. There is no minimum or maximum!
-
A water bottle, sunscreen, hat, and comfortable shoes are a must for the Walkathon. Whatever is normally in their backpack is good too.
-
The Walkathon is for Farnham students, staff, and teachers, but we need volunteers all day long. Adults may volunteer or watch for part of the morning, but must enter through the office and sign in before coming on campus.
-
Yes! Water is provided for Walkathon participants and they will eat lunch and snacks as they do regular school days.
For the community event we will be utilizing food trucks that families can purchase from. We will have Grillzillas, Los Tonos and Kona Ice.

Item descriptionThe financial generosity of our community, including parents, friends, family, neighbors, and local businesses, enables the HSC to provide enrichment programs to our students that would otherwise not be possible.
Some of these programs include field trips, school supplies, assemblies, outdoor improvements, technology, Science Camp, scholarships, community building events, teacher appreciation, and more!
Your time is a valued donation too!
